Batik

Throughout the half term, year 6 have been learning how to create Batik art. They started off learning about the concept by using wax crayons and water colour followed by PVA glue and acrylic paint. Once they understood the concept of the wax resisting the dye / paint they started to develop their skills using a tjanting tool. Finally, they planned and created their final piece using the tjanting tool, melted wax and dye.
