As part of the Health and Wellbeing strand of PSHEE, Year 3 had a visit from the Fire Service. They learnt about the role of a firefighter, the uniform and breathing apparatus used and the equipment within the fire engine. As part of the session, the children had a discussion about the importance of smoke alarms within the home and what to do if there is a fire.
